My Blog/Review on Broadway Nails imPRESS Press-on Manicure

Super Excited about my first official blog post regarding a product I received by being a member of Influenster Nation! (www.influenster.com)

I signed up to  be a part of the Influenster community back in November 2013. To be honest, when I first signed up with them, I didn’t really know what I was doing. I connected a couple of social media sites and then forgot about it for a while. Then reintroduced myself again this year. Boy am I happy I did!

My first ever Voxbox that I received was for the Broadway Nails – Impress Manicure Nails. In my box, I received two packages complimentary to try out and share my opinions on. I received two colours – one called ‘Big Flirt’ which was a bright pink colour and the other was called ‘TGIF’ which was a printed black lace design on a neutral/gold background. Since this was my first Voxbox I got online to see what I was supposed to do first.

The first step was to receive the box, go online and then confirm you received your Impress Manicure Nails.  There are a few activities that open up once you’ve confirmed you’ve received the box. Such as instragramming a picture of your nails!

I loved the packaging –it was in the shape of an actual Nail Polish bottle! So cute. I used the ‘Big Flirt’ nails first.
To be honest, I was a little nervous considering these were press on nails and the last time I ever heard of press on nails were back in the 80’s and 90’s with the Lee Press On Nails where you had to put the stickers on to the back of the nails first. (total craziness)

In the package you get the nails in a variety of sizes, a cleansing pad and the instructions. **Note READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST**

The instructions are super easy, you basically find the nails that match your real nails and line them up in order. Clean your nails with the cleansing pad and then apply the nails to your hands – and this is important – starting with your pinky fingers FIRST and then work your way to your thumbs.
Trust me, makes it a lot less frustrating at the end when you’re trying to put your last nail on. (I did one hand starting with my thumbs, so trust me when I say it’s frustrating! LOL )

To my pleasant surprise, these were amazingly super easy to apply. The nails already come with the nail stickers on the back of them all you have to do is peel, stick it to your nails and apply pressure for a few seconds and then on to the next! It took me 5 minutes to get both hands done and they looked great!

I did lose a nail from my index finger about an hour into the wear, and realized that my nail was a bit oily. I took a buffer and buffed my nail till the surface was a bit ragged and then cleaned the nail with acetone and applied a new nail and this time it lasted all day.
I’m sure they would have lasted longer if I didn’t try and make meatloaf and mix the meat with my bare hands. I lost a nail.. and then took the remaining off, only because they didn’t look so good anymore.

I was able to get a second set of the ‘Big Flirt” package so I did them again the next day and the nails lasted a solid 6.5 days.  Very Impressive! I’ll post a picture of my nails with my Wine glass on Mothers day!

It’s because of that picture a number of my friends asked about them, and one actually went out and purchased a set to use for a wedding she had that weekend!

I’ve saved the ‘TGIF’ for this weekend when I head out with the girls for Breakfast and a boat cruise, because

 1. I love the design
 2. They’re super easy to apply and
3. They look fancy!

I highly recommend getting a set of Broadway Nails – Impress Manicure and try them out.  I know this is something I’d keep on hand, in case a special event comes up and I don’t have time to do my nails. These are the perfect solution!

Cheers!
